Which industrial sites in Laredo need portable restrooms?
Laredo is the No. 1 U.S. port by trade value, and the World Trade Bridge alone moves about 10,000 northbound trucks a day. That traffic fills warehouses on Mines Road (FM 1472), the 109.6-acre Killam East Industrial Park and many broker lots. Many of those sites have drivers waiting far from an indoor restroom.
| Site | Who uses the restroom | Typical setup |
|---|---|---|
| Warehouse expansion on Mines Road | Builders, racking and dock crews | 1 standard unit per 20 workers, weekly service |
| Killam East Industrial Park (331 dock doors in Phase 1) | Drivers waiting on a dock door | 1–2 units near the driver lounge or gate shack |
| Truck and trailer drop yards | Drivers, yard jockeys, guards | Standard unit plus a hand-wash station |
| Customs broker lots near the bridges | Drivers between inspection and delivery | Units by the parking rows, serviced weekly |
| Natural gas pad sites and pipelines | Rig, frac, welding and pipeline crews | Towable or standard units, pin-drop delivery |
Should a truck yard use fixed or towable portable restrooms?
A truck yard that stays put should use fixed standard units, because they sit on gravel or concrete and get serviced in place every week. Pick 1 towable unit per moving crew when the work shifts along a pipeline or between pads. Towable units ride on a single-axle trailer and follow the crew.

Fixed standard unit
PolyJohn PJN3, 60-gallon tank, seat and urinal. Best for yards, docks and broker lots that don't move.

Hand-wash station
Two foot-pump sinks with about 34 gallons of fresh water. Put one by the units where drivers eat or handle fuel.
Wheelchair-accessible unit
PolyJohn Comfort XL with a roll-in floor and 32" door frame, for visitors or staff who need the room.
Full specs live on the standard porta potty page. Building or expanding a warehouse? Crew counts follow OSHA Table D-1 for construction sites.
How often should a restroom at a busy driver lot be serviced?
A restroom at a busy driver lot should be serviced at least once a week, and 2 times a week from May through September once 10 or more people use it each day. Truck drivers are visitors, not payroll, so count daily users at the gate log, not employees on the schedule.
| Daily users of one unit | October–April | May–September | When to add a unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 10 | Weekly | Weekly | Rarely needed |
| 10 or more | Weekly | 2× per week | If the tank is near full at each visit |
| Crew of 8+ plus visiting drivers | Weekly | 2× per week | Add a second unit and a hand-wash station |
Each service ticket is dated inside the door. When a driver finds a tank close to its 60-gallon limit on two visits in a row, dispatch calls you with the choice: an extra visit or a second unit. Nothing changes on the invoice until you say yes.
Service frequency is our house recommendation for Laredo heat, not a legal rule. Laredo averages 100.8°F in July.
Do you supply portable restrooms for Webb County pad sites and pipelines?
Yes. Webb County is the region's largest natural gas producer, averaging about 3 billion cubic feet a day in late 2024, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. We deliver towable and standard units to pad sites, compressor stations and pipeline right-of-way crews, with weekly service on a regional route day.
- Drop a map pin for the pad, plus the lease gate code and the site contact's cell.
- List every cattle guard and soft caliche stretch between the county road and the pad.
- Say how many people are on location at the peak shift, all contractors included.
- Tell us when the crew moves, so the towable unit and the service truck move with it.
Lease roads after a storm are the usual snag. Webb County soils are clay and caliche, and a soft stretch can stop a loaded pump truck. If a road is closed or washed out on service day, call dispatch and we reroute or reschedule. Ranch crews and hunting camps share these roads, and our ranch and lease restroom page covers gates and cattle guards in more detail.
Can one account cover restrooms at several yards and pad sites?
Yes. One Jason Rental Works business account can cover 2, 5 or 20 sites, each with its own unit count, service day and on-site contact. Every unit appears by location on one invoice, billed per 28-day cycle. Adding or pulling a site takes 1 phone call, and pickups happen within 1–2 business days.
| On the multi-site quote | Detail |
|---|---|
| Each site | Address or pin, gate code, contact name and number |
| Units per site | Standard, towable, accessible, hand-wash |
| Service day | Weekly, set per route; extra visits on request |
| Billing | 28-day cycles, invoice to your accounts payable, or pay by card |
| Fees | Zone 2 trip add or Zone 3 distance fee shared across units; no fuel surcharge |

How do you handle a plant shutdown or a short contractor surge?
A shutdown that brings 60 extra contractors for 2 weeks needs at least 2 seats and 2 urinals under OSHA Table D-1, so plan 2 standard units plus a hand-wash station, with extra visits on the heaviest days. The surge units bill as a 28-day jobsite rental, and you call for pickup the day the contractors leave.
- Book the surge with the outage date, not the week before; we stage units the day before the crews arrive.
- Ask for extra visits on the heaviest days. Shutdown crews run long shifts.
- Group units near the gate or break area, on firm ground, with 3 feet clear at each door.
- Keep the service lane open. The pump truck needs a lane about 11 feet wide and 12 feet of overhead room.
Laredo heat on paved yards
Asphalt and concrete yards hold heat. From May to September, any unit used by 10 or more people a day does better with 2 service visits a week. Park units beside a building wall or trailer for afternoon shade.
A used unit can't be moved with a forklift or yard truck until it is pumped. Call dispatch, and the move happens on the next service stop.
Who is allowed to haul portable restroom waste in Texas?
In Texas, anyone who transports chemical toilet waste must register with the TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) as a sludge transporter. That rule covers every pump truck that services your yard. Add it as 1 line on your vendor checklist, and ask any restroom company for it before your safety team signs off.
Can you place restrooms at sites near the international bridges?
Yes, on the Texas side. We place units at broker lots, drop yards and warehouses near the World Trade Bridge and the Colombia Solidarity Bridge, which handles about 2,600–2,800 trucks a day. We do not take units into Nuevo Laredo, because temporary import into Mexico requires a Mexican customs broker and an import filing.
Many broker lots are tight. A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide and our crew can roll an empty unit about 25 feet from the truck, so a corner by the fence line usually works. Details for bridge-area addresses are on our Nuevo Laredo border-area page, and longer stays are covered under monthly rentals.
