Can I rent a porta potty for just one day?
Yes, and a one-day rental costs the same as a five-day rental. Jason Rental Works prices short-term porta potties per event, covering 1 to 5 days on site with delivery, setup and pickup included. That way a Friday drop and Monday pickup for a Saturday party never costs extra.
Most people who call us think in single days. That's natural: the party is Saturday, so they ask for Saturday. The truck schedule works better with a day of cushion on each side, so you get the unit early and keep it through the weekend at no extra charge.
The same rule covers a two-day yard sale, a Sunday family carne asada or a one-night vigil. If the unit is on site for 5 days or fewer, the price does not change.
callers we reviewed needed a unit for a single day, and 3 asked straight out whether pricing is by the day. It isn't: one event price covers 1 to 5 days on site.

In Laredo and nearby Webb County, a porta potty can arrive the same day when you call by 12:00 noon, Monday through Saturday. Same-day stock is standard units and hand-wash stations. Call after noon and you get the first route the next morning. Zone 2 towns get next-day service, and Zone 3 cities need 48 hours.
| You call | Zone 1: Laredo, Rio Bravo, El Cenizo | Zone 2: Zapata, Hebbronville, Encinal, Eagle Pass | Zone 3: San Antonio, Corpus Christi, the Valley |

| After noon, Mon–Fri | First route next morning | Next day or scheduled | Scheduled, 48 hours' notice |

| Sunday | Leave a voicemail or quote; checked Sunday evening | Same | Same |
Delivery comes in a 4-hour window, and the driver calls or texts about 30 minutes ahead. See the full map of delivery zones and ZIP codes.
Is there an extra fee for same-day delivery?
Sometimes. A same-day fee may apply in Zone 1 when you call by 12:00 noon and a driver has to leave a set route to reach you, and dispatch names the exact amount before you book. Some days there is no same-day fee at all, because a truck is already working your side of town.
We put this up front because rush fees cost other companies customers. In the calls we reviewed, two people walked away after a quote jumped once "emergency" was added. One said simply, "Wow. That's too expensive." Hearing the number first lets you decide.
- Ask for the fee before anything else. Dispatch will tell you.
- Book by noon to stay in same-day range.
- Flexible on time? Say so. A next-morning drop usually costs less than a same-day rush.
lost sales in our reviewed calls came down to a rush fee. That is why our dispatchers say the same-day fee out loud, in dollars, before taking a card.

“We have everyone arriving tomorrow. Would that be possible?”
“Let me know what the expediting would be. If it goes crazy, I may skip it.”
“Is it for 24 hours, or for a day, or what?”
“What time can they have it delivered there?”

What if my original porta potty company can't deliver?
Call (956) 396-3700 right away, before noon if you can. One caller we reviewed had a unit booked for a holiday weekend until the other company's driver had an accident the day before. Jason Rental Works keeps standard units and hand-wash stations ready for same-day replacement in Zone 1.
Vendor fell through
Give us the address, guest count and party start time. We tell you on the call if a same-day or next-morning slot is open.
Plumbing outage
A backed-up sewer line, a broken septic pump or a water shutoff. One standard unit and a sink cover a household for days.
Guests arriving tomorrow
Call by noon today for a same-day drop, or get on the first route tomorrow morning. Mark the spot so the driver can set it without you.
I've never rented a porta potty. What happens on a same-day call?
A same-day call takes a few minutes and covers 6 things: your address, the guest count, the spot, any gate or dog, the same-day fee, and payment. Two callers we reviewed said they had never rented a porta potty before. Nobody needs to be home when the truck arrives, as long as the spot is marked.
- Address and ZIP, so dispatch confirms Zone 1 and today's route.
- Guest count and hours, so you get enough units the first time.
- The spot: driveway edge, side yard or packed dirt, level and firm.
- Hazards: gate width, dogs, an electric fence or a low cable line.
- The price, out loud: unit, any same-day fee, tax. No fuel surcharge.
- Payment by card or text link, then a reservation number by text.
Away at work? Set out a cone, a chair or a ribbon, or text a photo of the spot to (956) 396-3700. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving, in English or Spanish.
If the truck has to stop at the curb, our crew carts the empty unit up to about 25 feet into the yard. Backyard gates should open at least 48 inches for a standard unit.

Stuck without a restroom today?
Call by noon, Monday through Saturday. We name any same-day fee first, then put a standard unit in your yard today.
How does a weekend porta potty rental work?
A weekend rental runs Thursday or Friday to Monday under 1 flat event price. Holiday weekends book up first: 6 of the 19 calls we reviewed fell in a holiday-weekend rush, and every lost sale involved short notice or a holiday squeeze. If the date is set, book it now; date changes are free with 24 hours' notice.
- Call or request a quote with your ZIP, date and guest count.
- Pay by card or the text link; your reservation number arrives by text.
- Mark the spot or plan to show the driver on drop day.
- Drop day: Thursday or Friday, 4-hour window, 30-minute heads-up.
- Pickup: Monday, or Tuesday after a holiday Monday, at no extra charge.
The party starts at 6 tonight
Tell dispatch the start time when you call. Same-day orders are routed so the unit is set before guests arrive, and a 4-hour window that ends by mid-afternoon is the goal. Late calls on a busy Saturday are the hardest to fit, so call in the morning.
Need a sink too? Hand-wash stations are same-day stock. Details on the hand-wash station page.
What if I need a porta potty for a week or two?
A porta potty on site for up to 5 days stays on the flat event price. Past 5 days, dispatch usually sets it up as a 28-day rental with weekly service included and no contract. You call when you're done, and pickup happens within 1–2 business days of that call.
| How long you need it | How it's priced | Cleaning |
|---|---|---|
| 1 day to 5 days | One flat event price | Arrives clean; extra service on request |
| 6 days to 4 weeks | One 28-day cycle | Weekly service included |
| Open-ended | 28-day cycles until you call | Weekly service included |
Work sites and remodels have their own details on the monthly rental page and the construction toilet page.
What happens if my plans change after I book?
Cancel 24 hours or more before delivery and you get a full refund. Inside 24 hours, everything comes back except the delivery fee. A same-day order that has already been dispatched is not refundable. Moving the date is free with 24 hours' notice, which helps when rain or a family emergency shifts the party.
Read the full rental terms. The reservation number on your text is all you need to change a date.
