Which seasons drive porta potty rentals around Laredo?
Five seasons drive most seasonal porta potty rentals around Laredo: hunting season on South Texas leases, WBCA from mid-January to late February, spring and fall youth leagues, holiday sales lots, and the May–September heat, when Laredo sees about 74 days a year at or above 100°F and units need more service.
| Season | Typical months | Usual setup | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hunting leases | Fall through winter | 1–2 standard units at camp | 28-day cycles |
| WBCA celebration | Mid-January to late February | Event banks, parade-route parties | Per event |
| Laredo International Fair | Late February into March | Ranch and livestock gatherings | Per event |

| Harvest and cattle work | When the crews work | Standard or towable plus hand-wash | 28-day cycles |
| Holiday sales lots | Weeks before a holiday | 1 unit at the lot | Per event or 28 days |

How do you set up a porta potty at a South Texas hunting lease?
A South Texas hunting lease usually needs 1 standard unit at camp for up to about 25 hunters staying overnight, by our overnight event ratio. Send a map pin, the lease gate code and every cattle guard on the way in. The unit stays on 28-day cycles with weekly service until you call at season's end.
- Drop a pin on the camp, not the front gate, and say which gate the truck should use.
- List the road hazards: cattle guards, soft caliche, washouts and low crossings.
- Pick a firm spot by the skinning shed or bunkhouse, where the truck can back up.
- Set the service day before your busiest weekends, so the unit is fresh when the camp fills.
- Call for pickup after the last hunt; the truck comes within 1–2 business days.
calls we reviewed fell in a holiday-weekend rush, when callers heard that units were nearly booked up. Seasonal peaks come every year, so booking the season early beats calling the week of.

Those drops are next-day or scheduled, so plan a day ahead of opening weekend. Our ranch, lease and RV page covers camper pump-outs too.
Do harvest and cattle crews need field toilets?
Yes, when 11 or more hand-laborers work in the field. At that size, OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110 calls for a toilet plus a hand-wash facility per 20 workers, no more than a quarter mile away on foot. A 15-person crew working cattle at the pens needs 1 of each. Smaller crews aren't covered, but a unit still helps.
Webb County ranching runs deep; in 2002, livestock brought in about 97% of the county's farm income. Branding, shipping and working days move crews between pens. A towable unit on a single-axle trailer follows them, and a hand-wash station at the pens matters after handling animals. See the official 1928.110 text; the legal reading is yours and your advisor's.

How many porta potties does a youth league field need?
A youth league field with games under 4 hours needs 1 standard porta potty per 50 people on site, by our method. A Saturday with 150 players, parents and siblings needs 3 units, 1 of them wheelchair-accessible for public use, plus a hand-wash station near the concession stand.
Season-long units
Keep 1–2 units at the field on 28-day cycles from the first practice to the last game. Weekly service is included.
Tournament weekends
All-day tournaments run past 8 hours, which drops our ratio to 1 unit per 25 people. Add event units for the weekend and a Saturday-night service.
Accessible access
Fields open to the public should have at least 5% of units wheelchair-accessible, minimum 1, under the 2010 ADA Standards §213.2.
Run your own numbers with the porta potty calculator, and see the wheelchair-accessible unit specs.

Can I rent a porta potty for a fireworks stand or holiday sales lot?
Yes. A holiday sales lot open 5 days or fewer can use 1 unit on the flat event price, and a lot open for several weeks runs on a 28-day cycle with weekly service. The unit sits on the private lot, never on the sidewalk or street. One standard unit usually serves the staff and shoppers.
Put the unit behind the stand or tent, close enough for staff but out of the shoppers' line of sight. Gravel or caliche lots work well. Sidewalks and the street belong to the city, and using them takes a right-of-way permit that only a registered contractor can pull, so keep the unit on the lot you lease.
“Do you have any availability for this weekend?”
“Can you pick it up Monday or Tuesday? It doesn't matter.”
“That's like waiting till the last minute to do something.”
“Do you need a gate code?”

How does WBCA season change porta potty rentals in Laredo?
WBCA, Laredo's month-long Washington's Birthday Celebration, fills the calendar from mid-January into late February with roughly 400,000 visitors at parades, the Jalapeño Festival, concerts and fireworks. Parade-route parties, private watch parties and side events all want units the same weekends. Book as soon as your date is set.
- Parade-route parties: place units on your own lot or driveway, never the street.
- Multi-day events: add nightly service between days.
- The fair follows: the Laredo International Fair at the 1848 Event Center on Hwy 59 runs late February into March.
Full planning detail is in our WBCA season restroom guide.
How does Laredo summer heat change seasonal service?
From May through September, a seasonal unit used by 10 or more people a day, or by a crew of 8 or more, should get 2 service visits a week. Laredo averages 100.8°F in July. Event units used more than 6 hours in summer can get a deodorizer refresh, and shade makes every unit more pleasant.
Summer leagues, ranch crews and long sales lots feel the heat most. Ask dispatch to switch to twice-weekly service in May and back to weekly in October; you don't need a new rental.
100.8°F
Average July high in Laredo, with about 74 days a year at or above 100°F. Heat speeds up odor and water use, so from May to September we schedule service differently.
| Who is using it | Oct–Apr | May–Sep |
|---|---|---|
| Crew of 1–7 | Weekly | Weekly |
| Crew of 8–20 | Weekly | 2× per week |
| Event over 6 hours | Delivered clean | +1 unit per 150 guests |

What happens if rain washes out the road on service day?
If rain washes out a lease or ranch road on service day, dispatch reschedules the visit to the first day the truck can get in safely. Laredo's September 25, 2025 storm brought 17 water rescues and closed 18 streets, and caliche and clay roads stay soft for days after a heavy rain.
Set it high
Place the unit on high, firm ground, never in a draw, a low water crossing or beside a stock tank that floods.
Text us the road
If a crossing is underwater or a cattle guard washed out, a text with a photo saves the driver a wasted trip.
Don't tow a full unit
Rising water near camp? Call us. A used unit can't be dragged or tipped until it is pumped.

How do I book a seasonal porta potty rental?
Booking a seasonal porta potty takes 1 call and 5 details: the site or map pin, the start date, how many people use it on the busiest day, the busy weekends, and who the on-site contact is. The first 28-day cycle is paid upfront, and the rental renews until you call for pickup.
- Call (956) 396-3700 in English or Spanish, Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm.
- Share the site: address or pin, gate code, cattle guards, ground type.
- Get the itemized quote by text or email, then pay by card or text link.
- Set the service day and any extra visits for peak weekends.
- Call for pickup when the season ends; the rental stops renewing with that call.
Open-ended work rentals follow the same terms; see monthly porta potty rentals.
