How it works

How does a monthly porta potty rental work?

A monthly porta potty rental from Jason Rental Works runs on 28-day cycles that start on drop day. Each cycle includes 4 weekly service visits. The first cycle is paid upfront, the rental renews by itself, and you call when you're done. There is no contract and no minimum beyond the first 28 days.

Here is what that looks like on a real calendar. A unit dropped on Tuesday, March 3 starts cycle 2 on Tuesday, March 31, and cycle 3 on Tuesday, April 28. The weekly service day stays the same too, so the crew always knows which morning the truck comes.

callers we reviewed needed someone else's OK before paying: a boss, a spouse, a family member or a property owner. Itemized quotes by text or email make that hand-off easy.

No commitment

Do I have to sign a contract for a long-term porta potty?

No. A long-term porta potty from us has no contract. You commit to 1 cycle of 28 days at a time. The rental auto-renews until you call for pickup, and the truck comes within 1–2 business days. One remodel caller asked, "Do I have to commit to too much right off the bat?" The answer is no.

  • Start: unit dropped, cycle 1 paid, weekly service day set.
  • Middle: each new cycle bills on its own day; nothing to sign.
  • End: one call, a pickup within 1–2 business days, and no more renewals.

Business approval

What will my boss see on the monthly quote?

A monthly quote from Jason Rental Works lists 6 lines your boss can approve at a glance: the unit, the 28-day rate, weekly service, delivery, pickup and Texas sales tax at 8.25%. There's no fuel surcharge and no card fee. The quote goes out by text and email, ready to forward.

  1. Call or send the quote form with the site address, start date and headcount.
  2. Get the itemized quote by text and email. Online quotes are answered within 30 minutes in office hours.
  3. Forward it for approval. Getting a quote doesn't sign you up for anything.
  4. Pay cycle 1 by card, debit or the secure link; business accounts can be invoiced.
  5. Name an on-site contact who knows where the unit goes and answers the driver's call.

One business caller needed a unit for "one to two weeks, open-ended," and the boss had to approve it first. A link-based quote lets a caller like that finish later. If your email is slow, ask for the text link; it shows up faster. Need the quote in Spanish for a ranch owner or a family member? Ask, and dispatch walks through it in Spanish on the phone.

Outside Laredo

Can I keep a monthly unit outside Laredo, in Zapata or San Antonio?

Yes. Monthly units in Zone 2 towns like Zapata, Hebbronville and Eagle Pass get weekly service on a regional route day. Zone 3 cities, from San Antonio and Corpus Christi to the Rio Grande Valley, need 48 hours' notice for delivery. One distance fee is shared across every unit on that trip.

2 · Zapata, Encinal, Freer, Eagle PassNext-day or scheduledRegional route day
3 · San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Alice, the ValleyScheduled, 48 hours' noticeRegional route day

Long-haul monthly rentals work best with 2 or more units, or a crew that stays put, because the trip fee covers the whole truckload. A pipeline or pad crew that moves often is better served by a towable unit; see industrial and oilfield restrooms.

Check your town on the service area map before you call, and have the address or a map pin ready.

Ranches & farms

How many toilets does a ranch or farm crew need?

Under OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110, a farm with 11 or more hand-laborers in the field needs 1 toilet and 1 hand-washing facility for every 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk. A 25-person crew needs 2 of each. Below 11 workers the rule doesn't apply, but 1 unit is still our advice.

Ranch delivery notes

Webb County ranch land is brush country with caliche roads and clay-loam soil. Send a map pin, the gate code and each cattle guard on the way in. When the crew works far from the pens, a towable unit can follow them to stay inside the quarter-mile walk.

Weekly service on Zone 2 ranches runs on a regional route day, so the truck shows up on the same weekday every week.

Remodels & homes

Can a homeowner rent a porta potty by the month?

Yes. Homeowners rent by the 28-day cycle for remodels, water line repairs and septic work, with weekly service included. One caller's bathroom remodel shut off the water for 4 to 6 weeks, which is 1 or 2 cycles. The unit served the work crew by day and the family after hours.

The unit goes on your property, not the street; right-of-way placement needs a City of Laredo permit. Choose a shaded spot the service truck can back up to. Billing details for remodels are on the construction porta potty page.

Septic or water outage? Pair the toilet with a hand-wash station. It holds about 34 gallons of fresh water and is refilled on the weekly visit.

Long rentals at a home often outlast the first plan. Tile takes longer, a part is back-ordered, and 4 weeks turns into 7. Nothing needs to be re-booked; the next cycle simply starts, with the same weekly service, until you call.

Service through the seasons

Is weekly service enough for a long-term rental in Laredo?

Weekly service is enough from October through April for most long-term rentals. From May through September, when Laredo averages 100.8°F in July, a unit used by 10 or more people a day or a crew of 8 or more should get 2 visits a week. Extra visits are added to the cycle on request.

Ending the rental

How do I end a monthly rental and stop billing?

Call (956) 396-3700 or use the quote form to request pickup. The truck picks up within 1–2 business days of that call. To avoid starting a new 28-day cycle, call 2 business days before the cycle ends. Leave the truck path clear so the crew can pump and load the unit.

  1. Check your cycle date on the last invoice text.
  2. Call 2 business days ahead, Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm.
  3. Leave the gate open or share the code; nobody needs to be there.
  4. We pump and load the unit and the account closes. In Zone 1, pickup is already part of the quote, so nothing extra is billed.
  5. Need it back later? Call again; a new rental starts a fresh 28-day cycle on the new drop day.

Seasonal jobs, like a hunting lease or a youth league, follow the same rules; see seasonal porta potty rentals.

FAQ

Monthly rental questions, answered

Questions taken from real rental calls, answered by our dispatchers.

(956) 396-3700
Why do you bill every 28 days instead of once a month?
A 28-day cycle lines up with 4 weekly service visits, so every cycle has the same number of cleanings. Calendar months run 28 to 31 days, which would give some months a fifth visit and others not. Over a full year that comes to 13 cycles instead of 12 months.
What does a monthly porta potty cost in Laredo?
A standard unit on a 28-day cycle typically runs $135–$199 before tax with weekly service included. Extra service visits typically run $40–$70 each. Ranches and leases in Zone 2 typically add $35–$95 for delivery. Your quote lists each line, plus 8.25% Laredo sales tax.
Can you send the 28-day invoice to our accounts payable?
Yes. Business accounts can be invoiced, and the invoice can go to an AP email with a copy texted to the site manager. The first cycle is paid upfront to start the rental; later cycles bill as each one begins.
Do you pick up on the same day I call?
Usually not. Pickup happens within 1–2 business days of your call, so call a couple of business days before the last day you need the unit, and before your next 28-day cycle begins.
How many toilets does a ranch crew need under OSHA?
OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110 covers farms with 11 or more hand-laborers in the field: 1 toilet and 1 hand-washing facility per 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk. A 25-person harvest crew needs 2 toilets and 2 hand-wash stations.
Can a long-term unit be moved to another spot on the property?
Yes, after it has been pumped. A used unit can't be tipped or dragged, so call dispatch and the move happens on the next weekly service visit. Mark the new spot, and keep the truck path clear.
