Per event

Is porta potty rental priced per day or per event?

Porta potty rental at Jason Rental Works is priced per event, not per day. One event price covers 1 to 5 days on site, so a unit dropped Thursday for a Saturday party and picked up Monday costs the same as a one-evening rental. Delivery, setup, pickup, paper and sanitizer are included in Zone 1.

Here is why. Most of the cost of a party rental is two truck trips and a full clean between customers. Whether the unit sits in your side yard one night or four, those trips and that clean are the same. Charging by the day would only punish you for wanting the unit there early.

Need it longer than 5 days? Dispatch moves you to a 28-day cycle with weekly service, which works out cheaper per day than stacking event rentals. That is how a short-term rental for a week-long family visit or a two-week roof job gets priced.

From our call logs
3 of 19

callers asked if the price was "by the day." One asked, "Is it for 24 hours, or for a day, or what?" It is one flat price for up to 5 days.

Long-term billing

Do I pay a full month if I only need a porta potty for 3 weeks?

You pay one 28-day cycle, not a calendar month. A standard unit typically runs $135–$199 before tax per 28 days, including 1 service visit each week. A 3-week bathroom remodel fits inside the first cycle. The clock starts on drop day, and a new cycle starts only if the unit is still on site after day 28.

How 28-day billing works

  • No contract. The rental renews every 28 days until you call for pickup.
  • First cycle upfront. Later cycles bill as they start.
  • Weekly service included. Pump, scrub, sanitize, restock and a dated service ticket inside the door.
  • Stopping is a phone call. Pickup happens within 1–2 business days of your call, so call a couple of days before your cycle ends.

28 days vs a calendar month

Thirteen 28-day cycles fit in a year, compared with 12 calendar months. A 28-day cycle is honest about what you are using: four weekly services and four weeks on site, every time.

For a job that might run 4 weeks or 5, plan on 2 cycles and call for pickup the day the last trade leaves. One remodel caller asked, "Do I have to commit to too much right off the bat?" No. One cycle at a time.

Crews and warehouses can read more on the long-term 28-day rental page.

Laredo heat note. From May through September we recommend 2 services a week for crews of 8 or more. The second weekly visit is billed as an extra service visit, typically $40–$70 before tax, and you can drop back to weekly in October.
Same-day & rush

Why does same-day porta potty delivery cost more?

Same-day porta potty delivery can cost more because dispatch has to pull a truck off its planned route. Jason Rental Works charges a same-day fee of $0–$85 in Zone 1 when you call by noon, Monday through Saturday, and tells you the exact amount before you pay. Booking 1 day or more ahead avoids the fee.

Rush pricing is where most rentals fall apart. In our call sample, 8 of 19 callers needed a unit within 72 hours, and surprise rush fees caused 2 of the 4 lost sales. One caller saw his total jump by more than half and said, "Wow. That's too expensive."

So we do it differently. The same-day fee is a fixed line on the quote, said out loud on the phone, capped at the top of the range above. It is never added after the truck leaves. Same-day stock is standard units and hand-wash stations.

From our call logs
2 of 4

lost sales in the calls we reviewed came down to a rush or emergency fee the caller did not see coming. Our same-day fee is named before you book.

Already dispatched? A same-day order that is already on the truck is not refundable, because the trip has been made. Orders placed earlier can be cancelled for a full refund 24+ hours before delivery. Read the full rental terms and cancellation policy.
Sample quotes

What does a full porta potty quote look like with tax?

A hypothetical 100-guest Laredo backyard party with 2 standard units and 1 hand-wash station comes to $385–$600 before tax and about $417–$650 with Laredo's 8.25% sales tax. Compare quotes

How do I compare porta potty quotes from different companies?

Compare porta potty quotes on the total with tax, not the headline price. Check 7 lines on every quote: rental length, delivery, pickup, fuel surcharge, card fee, same-day fee and sales tax. A low base price with a fuel charge, a 3% card fee and a separate pickup fee often costs more than a higher all-in price.

Two more checks matter in Laredo. First, ask where the trucks come from; a yard near I-35 reaches north Laredo, Mines Road and south Laredo without a long-haul charge. Second, ask whether you will get a quote you can keep. One caller in our sample lost a deal when a second call came back higher than the first. Our texted quote is the price.

From our call logs
5 of 19

calls included a price objection — rush fees, a higher re-quote or a cheaper competitor. Most were about surprise lines, not the unit price itself.

Paying

How do I pay for a porta potty rental, and when is my card charged?

Your card is charged when you book. Event rentals are paid in full to hold the date, and jobsite rentals pay the first 28-day cycle upfront. Jason Rental Works takes Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit, by phone or through a secure invoice link. You get a confirmation number by text.

Card billing tips

  • Check three things on the invoice: the date, the delivery address and the unit type.
  • Paying for someone else's party? The bill can be in your name with the host listed as the on-site contact, or the invoice can go straight to the host.
  • Need approval first? Ask for a texted quote to forward to your spouse, boss or property owner. A quote is not a booking.
  • Business account? Businesses can be invoiced; ask dispatch to set it up.
  • No cash. Drivers do not collect payment on site.

Email slow? Ask for the text-to-pay link

E-sign emails are the most common snag in rental calls. In 6 of the 19 calls we reviewed, the invoice email was slow, landed in spam or got confused with another message. The text-message link arrived faster every time.

If our invoice email hasn't shown up within a few minutes, say "text it to me." The same secure invoice link lands on your phone, and you can pay while dispatch is still on the line.

Lower the bill

How can I lower the cost of renting a porta potty?

The 4 biggest savings are timing, sizing, zone and length. Book 1 day or more ahead to skip the same-day fee, rent the right count instead of an extra unit, group units on one truck outside Laredo to share one distance fee, and switch a stay longer than 5 days to the 28-day rate.

  1. Book early in busy months. WBCA season from mid-January to late February and May graduation weekends fill same-day stock fast.
  2. Use a hand-wash station instead of all-deluxe units. Two standard units plus one sink usually cost less than two deluxe units.
  3. Order everything on one call. In Zone 3, a single distance fee covers every unit on the truck.
  4. Call for pickup on time. On 28-day rentals, a pickup call 2 business days before the cycle ends keeps a new cycle from starting.

FAQ

Price questions callers ask before paying

Questions taken from real rental calls, answered by our dispatchers.

(956) 396-3700
Is that price for 24 hours, or a day, or what?
Neither. A Jason Rental Works event price covers 1 to 5 days on site. A one-evening party and a Friday-to-Monday weekend cost the same, because the truck makes the same two trips. Three of the 19 callers in our sample asked this exact question before booking.
Does the price include delivery and pickup?
Yes, in Zone 1. Laredo, Rio Bravo, El Cenizo and nearby Webb County event prices include delivery, setup, pickup, toilet paper and sanitizer. Zone 2 towns add a delivery charge of $35–$95, and Zone 3 cities share a distance fee, typically $150–$350 per trip, across every unit on that truck.
Is there a fuel charge or a card fee?
No. Jason Rental Works does not add a fuel surcharge or a credit card processing fee. The only lines after the rental itself are a same-day fee if you need the unit today, a zone or distance fee outside Laredo if it applies, and Texas sales tax, which is 8.25% in Laredo.
How much is the same-day fee?
The same-day fee runs $0–$85 in Zone 1, depending on that day's routes, and dispatch tells you the exact amount before you pay. Call (956) 396-3700 by noon, Monday through Saturday. Book a day or more ahead and the same-day fee does not apply at all.
Do I pay a full month if I only need it three weeks?
You pay one 28-day cycle, not a calendar month. A 3-week remodel fits inside a single cycle, typically $135–$199 before tax for a standard unit with weekly service. Call for pickup before day 28 and no second cycle starts.
When will you charge my card?
When you book. Event dates are held once the rental is paid in full, and jobsite rentals pay the first 28-day cycle upfront. Cancel 24 or more hours before delivery for a full refund to the same card.
Do you take cash?
No. We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards, by phone or through a secure invoice link by text or email. Businesses can ask for an invoice account.
Do you have discounts or specials?
We don't run coupons. The savings are built in: no fuel surcharge, no card fee, Thursday or Friday drop and Monday pickup at no extra rental charge, and no same-day fee when you book a day or more ahead. Multi-unit trips outside Laredo also split one distance fee.
