Scope

What do these rental terms cover?

The rental terms on this page cover every rental from Jason Rental Works, 3804 San Bernardo Ave, Laredo, TX 78041: porta potties, hand-wash stations, restroom trailers, towable units and pump-out service. They took effect on October 6, 2026. When you pay an invoice, you agree to the terms on this page and the details on that invoice.

1 · Payment

When and how do I pay for a rental?

Event rentals are paid in full when you book, which holds your date. Jobsite and long-term rentals pay the first 28-day cycle upfront, and each later cycle bills when it starts. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and debit cards by phone or through a secure invoice link. We don't accept cash.

  • Invoices go out by text and email. If the email is slow, ask for the text link.
  • A quote or payment link is not a booking. Your rental is confirmed when it's paid and your reservation number arrives by text.
  • Business accounts can be invoiced by arrangement with dispatch.
  • There is no fuel surcharge and no card processing fee. Texas sales tax, 8.25% in Laredo, appears as its own line.
  • The person paying and the on-site contact can be different people. Tell dispatch who to call on delivery day.
2 · Rental length

What is the difference between an event rental and a 28-day rental?

An event rental costs one flat price covering 1 to 5 days on site, with delivery, setup, pickup, toilet paper and sanitizer included. A 28-day rental bills every 28 days from drop day, includes 1 service visit a week, needs no contract, and renews automatically until you call for pickup. Prices are never charged by the day.

Current price ranges for both are on the porta potty rental cost page.

3 · Cancellation

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel 24 or more hours before the scheduled delivery and you get a full refund. Cancel inside 24 hours and you get a refund of everything except the delivery fee. A same-day order that has already been dispatched is not refundable. Refunds go back to the card used to pay.

callers needed a spouse, a boss or a property owner to say yes before booking. A full refund up to 24 hours before delivery lets you hold the date while you check.

4 · Date changes

Can I change my delivery date?

Yes. Date changes are free with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled delivery. With less notice, dispatch tells you what is possible before anything is charged. A change of address, unit type or unit count may change the price, and dispatch re-quotes before you pay.

Holiday weekends and the WBCA season, from mid-January to late February, book up early. If you might move your date, tell dispatch when you book so we can tell you what's open.

5 · Same-day

How do same-day orders work?

Same-day delivery covers Zone 1, Laredo and nearby Webb County, for orders placed by 12:00 noon, Monday through Saturday. Only standard units and hand-wash stations go out same-day. Any same-day fee is named on the quote before you pay. Once a same-day order is dispatched, it's not refundable.

Orders placed after noon go on the first route the next morning. Zone 2 same-day delivery happens only when a truck is already headed that way, and Zone 3 always needs 48 hours' notice.

6 · Damage

Who is responsible if a porta potty is damaged?

The renter is responsible for 5 kinds of damage while the unit is on site: vandalism, fire, tipping, towing or dragging, and loss or theft. Normal wear from ordinary use is on us. If a unit is damaged, call dispatch the same day; repair or replacement cost is billed to the renter.

  • Never drag or tow a unit with a tractor, truck or ATV. A used unit can't be moved or tipped until it's pumped. Call us and we move it.
  • Keep it away from fire pits, grills and fireworks. Polyethylene melts.
  • Secure it from traffic. On jobsites, keep it out of equipment paths and away from where trucks back up.
  • Don't put anything in the tank except toilet waste and toilet paper.
Moving units on ranch and pad sites. If your crew moves every few days, rent a towable unit — a standard unit on a single-axle trailer built for it. See oilfield and industrial rentals.
7 · Dry-run trips

What is a dry-run trip fee?

You owe a dry-run trip fee only when our truck arrives and the unit can't be placed: a locked gate with no code, a blocked path, a spot the truck can't reach, or no safe level ground. The fee covers that 1 wasted trip. Dispatch tells you the amount before a second trip is scheduled.

Most dry runs are avoidable. The truck needs a path about 10–11 feet wide with nothing hanging below 12 feet, our crew can cart an empty unit about 25 feet, and a standard unit needs a gate at least 48 inches wide. Send gate codes, warn us about dogs, electric fences, low cables and creek crossings, and text a photo of the spot.

8 · Placement

Who is responsible for where the unit is placed?

The renter chooses the spot and confirms we have permission to be there. The spot must be level, firm ground the truck can reach, with 3 feet clear in front of the door. We aren't responsible for normal wear to lawns, caliche, gravel or pavement along the delivery path you choose.

  • If the property belongs to someone else, you confirm the owner has approved the placement.
  • Mark the spot or text a photo. Nobody has to be home.
  • Underground lines, septic lids and sprinkler heads near the spot should be pointed out before delivery.
  • Avoid low ground and drainage paths. Laredo flash floods, such as the September 25, 2025 storm with 17 water rescues, can move or tip a unit.
  • Ranch and oilfield sites: send a map pin, gate code and notes on cattle guards and caliche roads.

Detailed placement advice is in our guide to placing a porta potty on caliche, near flood zones and past cattle guards.

9 · Right-of-way

Can a unit be placed in the street or right-of-way?

No. Jason Rental Works places units on private property only. Work in the City of Laredo right-of-way generally requires a permit from Building Development Services, which lists a residential fee of 50 dollars and commercial fees from 250 dollars, and the permit must be pulled by a registered contractor.

Pick a spot just inside your property line, such as the edge of the driveway or the side yard. Questions about the city permit go to City of Laredo Building Development Services. More on permits and rules is in our OSHA and Texas rules guide.

10 · Pickup & billing stop

How does pickup work, and when does billing stop?

Event pickups are scheduled when you book, usually the Monday after a weekend event, and need no call. On 28-day rentals, call for pickup, and the crew picks up within 1–2 business days. A new 28-day cycle starts only if the unit is still on site when the current cycle ends, so call a few days early.

  • No Sunday pickups. Pickups run Monday through Saturday.
  • Leave the path clear on pickup day, just as on delivery day.
  • If a pickup is blocked, a dry-run trip fee may apply, and the rental continues until the unit can be collected.
11 · Weather & flooding

What happens if weather or flooding affects my rental?

If flash flooding, road closures or storms make a delivery or pickup unsafe, dispatch calls you and moves it to the next safe route day. A delay we make for safety doesn't cost you a cancellation fee. Laredo gets about 19.7 inches of rain a year, mostly from May to October, often in sudden storms.

  • Soft caliche roads and wet pastures may mean placing the unit at the edge of a field instead of in it.
  • If water is rising near your unit, don't try to drag it to higher ground. Call dispatch.
  • If you cancel because of a weather forecast, the normal cancellation rules above apply.
12 · Cross-border

Do you rent porta potties for use in Mexico?

No. Jason Rental Works does not take units across the border into Nuevo Laredo or anywhere in Mexico. A temporary import into Mexico requires a Mexican customs broker and a pedimento, and Tamaulipas is under a U.S. State Department Level 4 travel advisory. Units must stay at the Texas address on the invoice.

We serve Laredo-side sites near the bridges, including warehouses and yards. See porta potty rental near the Nuevo Laredo crossings.

FAQ

Rental terms questions

Questions taken from real rental calls, answered by our dispatchers.

(956) 396-3700
I paid, but my event got cancelled. Do I get my money back?
Yes, all of it, if you cancel 24 or more hours before the scheduled delivery. Inside 24 hours, you get everything back except the delivery fee. A same-day order that's already on the truck is not refundable. Call (956) 396-3700 to cancel.
My party moved to next Saturday. Is there a charge?
No. Date changes are free with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled delivery. Call or text (956) 396-3700, and dispatch texts the new date with your reservation number.
Who pays if a guest knocks the unit over?
The renter. Tipping is listed as damage under these terms, along with vandalism, fire, towing or dragging, and loss. Place the unit on level, firm ground away from vehicles and horseplay to keep the risk low.
Can I use my own trailer to move the porta potty to another spot on the ranch?
No. A used unit can't be moved or tipped until it's pumped, and towing or dragging a unit counts as damage. Call dispatch, and we move it after pumping, or rent a towable unit that's built to travel with the crew.
